James Ball (Ballsy) is a freelance photographer based in the Midlands and South East. He spends much of his time behind the lens, photographing within the urban landscape. He enjoys making images that have a really urban feel to them. A lot of his photographic work is based around activities that take place within the urban space. James uses both film and digital methods. His favourite subjects to photograph include music, skateboarding, graffiti and parkour. He feels that his interests have influenced his photographic style. He enjoys hip hop, skateboarding and graffiti art. He has an enormous interest in the built environment, its design and how others use it around him. James likes to try and create the best images possible with camera in hand, rather than using heavy digital manipulation. Photography has taught him to look at the world and approach it from a slightly different angle.
